    Default Speaker cable suggestions.

I will be in need of a fairly lengthy run of speaker cable, probs about 5 metres on one, and seven on the other, ok not that long a run, but I don't want to spend a lot on it, so fire away!

A good suggestion, but not the best looking option as they will be seen a fair bit.

This was recommended to me by an AOS member and I think it's better than most expensive cable:

Now you can't complain about the price can you?

My usual suspect black rhodium twist at 1.49 a meter. Fantastic stuff that has off cables costing considerable more.

Are you sure its £1.49, maybe that's your special price

The twist only has 0.75 mm conductors which is really small for 7 metre runs.

For 7 metres I would use something 1.5mm to 2.5 mm or maybe 4mm.

Care to stick brands onto the sizes Mark?

Merlin CR4, if you can get it. Looks nice in pearlescent white and not too dear. Sounds excellent too. Pretty stiff due to solid cores. Good cable!
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
