    I'm Geoff.

    Default Old Headphones

I've just dug out my headphones.

They seldom get used and spend most of the time on a shelf gathering dust.

I have two pairs of Yamaha HP1 phones that sound rather nice they are 'Orthodynamic' types, rather similar to the ancient Wharfedale Isodynamics and Maggie speakers I believe, in using a diaphragm with a circuit printed on the surface.

There's also a pair of very old AKG phones I keep for testing boot sale amplifiers (saves hooking speakers up).

And lastly the big phones at the front of the photo. They have no badges, but I believe the are an Audio Technica model. They sound pretty good, but I don't know what they are. Can anybody identify these for me?
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
