Speaker stand pads

I bought a 2nd hand set of Apollo speaker stands (8" high on castors) to use with a set of Ditton 44 speakers and was wondering what to use so I don't damage the veneer on the bottom of the speakers. Stands are just painted 1 x 1 inch tubing.

Sorbothane? Rubber? Foam?

Best suggestions?
