Default Vaughan Williams 30 CD EMI set for £31.50 UK delivered!

A bit of a bargain to say the least.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vaughan-Will...6886897&sr=1-1

    Includes Handley's symphony cycle.

Not everything RVW wrote, but not too far off! ... for me, RVW is the greatest British composer of them all.

That's astonishingly good value Jerry and if I didn't already have all the RVW I like I would be all over that - might still be TBH

I'd seen that a while back - astonishing value! I think I have virtually all of the recordings from when they were initially released, but for someone starting out with RVW it's a no-brainer . .

There's not one performance that's less than "good", and many that are outstanding, with some cracking recordings sound-wise too.

The vinyl box of Boult conducting the symphonies was a goodie back in the day...

I remember carrying that out of Gramophone Exchange in London at the time (1972 I think!). I'd already bought a couple of the discs when the set came out, so put them in part-ex for the box. I was playing (and ripping) these about a month or so ago . . .
