    Smile Mikey's DP-3000 Adventure.

After my recent fun and games with a failed attempt at buying a Teccy 1210 and a sale of the Denon that also fell through, I've decided to keep it.

So let's see what can be done!

    Here's where it all started...

First step, the Hadcock tonearm is not a good match to the deck or cartridge, so it's gone!

Second step, replace it, any decent TT will need an arm of some sort obviously!

I should be back in a couple of hours with the next update.

You tease! I love the look of the Denon. Can't wait to see the new arm fitted.

I always thought it looked like another one of my favourite toys

Mike, you can moderate this as you see fit!

For those that don't know, the new arm is a unipivot.

Only thing is... 'pivot' is something of a misnomer.

It's actually a wickedly sharp evil bastard spike thing!!!

    It provides it's own 'jabs'!

I've stopped for some sweet tea and smelling salts.

    Arm base fitted.

Note tungsten carbide spike masquerading as a 'pivot'!
