    Here's one i started before disaster struck, the motor needs repair/replacing so im stuck at the moment till i find a donor..However this is a mid 60's Philips 'GA230' Idler/Belt unit..

    Arm: Audio Origami PU7 (12")
    Cartridge: Van den Hul Black Beauty
    Phono: Whest PS30RDT
    Preamp: Scratch built AMB a24/LCDuino/d1/d2, fully balanced
    Power amp: Transcendent 15W "Son Of Beast" OTL with upgraded Takman/Mills/ClarityCap MR/Jensen components in signal path
    Loudspeakers: Steve Cresswell's old Metronomes

    Love that! I always enjoy seeing "left field" units, that looks like it ought to be worth getting going if you can. It looks like something out of the set of Thunderbirds with those control knobs.

    Exactly - from the days when plugs were made properly! Al, polish the pins to a fine shine, clean up the plug and find a matching round-pin socket, plug in the Lenco and enjoy, is my advice!

    Go on, polish the plug up and take some pics of it - we'd love that

    Tape Deck: Tandberg TCD 310, fully restored and recalibrated as new, by RDE, plus upgraded with heads from the TCD-420a. Also with matching TM4 Norway microphones.

    Preamps: Heavily-modified Croft Charisma-X. LDR Stereo Coffee. Power Amps: Tube Distinctions Copper Amp fitted with Tungsol KT-150s. Quad 306.

    Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.

    Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.

    Speakers: Tannoy 15MGs in Lockwood cabinets with modified crossovers. 1967 Celestion Ditton 15.
