    MG every time

ANY retailer bought interconnect from the bigger specialist makers will incur a humungous margin for the dealer. Please bear this in mind. In any event, a standard MG HD1000 for around £50 will out-perform an Anthem IMO. Apologies to the other cable makers here, I don't know them..

The chord anthem 2 interconnect walks all over the MG HD1000 I have just compared them. Is the MG G 2000HD much better !!!

They are indeed, William (the superior plugs used produce a significant sonic improvement), however whether you'll prefer the G2000HDs to the Anthems is down to a number of factors, not least of which is what YOUR ears (and system) dictate sounds best!

Mark does a 30-day money back guarantee, so why not try some and see what you think. You can't really lose

    MG's.... Bosh!

I've tried numerous Chords but they always seem over priced for what you get out of them. They seem to mostly aim at and flick the switches of the hifi type masses and less of the listener type. A little too much style over substance in the affordable range imo. The expensive jobbies are very sweet but then you pay for it even more.

The G2000HD's are very good... If you can splash out then try them with the Ag WBT or Eichmans. Although the Cu's are bloody good too.

Late reply, but the Chord cables hype everything, the MG HD wire doesn't. Compared to a hyped wire, a neutral one may sound bland at first, but persevere and go back and see what happens. Been there and done it, recently too

I have tried quite a few interconnects recently, I must admit I really appreciate what MG's do, I have the 1500's and they sound rich and full. I also rate NVA ssp's very highly.

I reckon we need another bake-off. The one that introduced the HD wires was at the "My *** Speakers'" chap's place and marco took along a prototype I remember. The rest is history
