many need to be tbh. they just cant help themselves if its dangled under their noses. Doesnt make them useless etc its just that they have an addictive personality.

I've known a few like that. A week's pay gone in a couple of hours and nothing left to pay the rent or feed the kids. Barmy!

Glad I'm not inclined to gamble. Got enough bad habits already.

speak to a psychiatrist. there is.. some folk can get addicted to almost anything easily, some folk dont. my stepson has it, thats why i control his meds and cash etc. doc has to do his stuff in doses etc. Ive known a few folk that are normal folk and yet cant say no to some things; a bit like hoarders.

Certainly advertising it shouldnt be allowed. National lottery, which has taken over from pools and at least gives charities a bit is only one I would allow. Far too many bookies around now too. Its not healthy in general for all this temptation for the weak

Well said yes. I thought it a disgrace when gambling advertising was allowed! I'd also ban junk mail of all sorts.

There's a difference between having a legitimate medical condition and simply acting irresponsibly with the expectation that someone else will sort out the mess you've made and dry your eyes for you whilst scolding the nasty people who 'tempted' you in. Some people just use this as an excuse to do whatever the hell they want without any consequences. That's what happens when you construct a nanny state. People take the piss.

(I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the feeling was mutual) He could get Katie Hopkins old job at the Daily Heil! At least we largely agree on hi fi and many other matters... There yer go..
