I couldn't agree more, the seller wants us to buy it without bothering to tell us what's on the album or with us having to do his job for him.

Also, I buy a lot of vinyl from ebay and I'm just starting to get fed up with sellers thinking all vinyl is 'mint' and priceless, it seems to have become more frequent in the last month or two.

Most sellers go by visual inspection I think and there's a great difference between looking good and playing good. I clean all my records on a Moth RCM and they look blemish free but can still have quite a bit of snap, crackle and pop in them. On the other hand I have some jazz pressings getting on for 80 years old that sound crisp and crystal clear. They took more care in the old days when sound was King!

Then they went and made Elvis The King. Was that when it all started to go wrong?

Software manufacturers who act like they own your PC. Latest MS update for Windows 10 took nearly two and a half hours (!) and happened when I didn't want it to, knocking me out for a morning. PC is now slower. And no, I don't want to replace Firefox with Edge so stop asking

windows automatic fecking updates that totally destroy the operating system and require a Complete reinstall from scratch and all the hassle that entails even if everything is backed up.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

    Wow that takes me back!

I was thinking if they put a Guillotine on Capitol Hill and started lobbing off the heads of Congress, they could sell Pay-Per-View tickets and settle the National Debt!

Agree - if capital punishments were to be held in public, you bet there would be crowds flocking to see them.

You know I'm getting tired of this kid-centric world we live in. Why is it ok for kids to run round screaming in the pub when you just want a quiet pint, but not ok for me to have some fun in the wacky warehouse?

Honestly they have it all their own way don't they.

I think a lot of people my age are labelled "grumpy old men" because we are, and with good reason. When we were growing up adults were in charge. Now we're grown up it's the kids who are in charge. There was never a time when we were "boss".

Still I had the last laugh. I did a shit in the ball pit.
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.
