Very nice! However... How busy are the towns and roads within the surrounding area? Is there much traffic congestion? And how easy is it to park in large towns in your local area?Well I may be 'darn sarf' but I do live right in the middle of this, so it's not so bad!
For example, Wrexham is approximately the size of Basingstoke....
I could jump in my car and go into Wrexham town centre, at ANY time of the day, and *instantly*, without any effort, find a FREE car parking space for up to three hours, right in the centre of town [without having to worry about over-zealous clamping firms either].
And there would be zero traffic jams/congestion on the way there or back, even in the so-called 'rush hour'!
How easy is it to do that down your way?

I know some folks are stuck with it, or perhaps even like it, but there's no way I could handle living in somewhere like London, or any of the other overpopulated, crowded towns and cities, 'darn sarf'. The stress of forever being in some sort of queue virtually all the time would simply be too much
And not exactly fun!

Well its a very quiet stretch of leafy pavement but I agree with you. For a moment I felt I had no other option because Im sick of over half a mile of standing traffic giving no room for a bike and a car to pass on my side.Bicycles on the pavement...FFS!
We are talking half a mile plus here but you are right in that Im going to stick to the road and cars behind me will have to wait....trouble is they probably wont leading to all sorts of squeezing manoeuvres and agitation
It isnt actually me clogging up the roads...its all those people who think they can take a tonne of metal on any trip they like
The beginning of my journey is one of the most tranquil, beautiful country roads in Cheshire and its only when I get nearer to the main traffic routes
