Hi Jerry, can you put it back on your chest for just a minute, to take me through how to edit quotes? I've noticed others are able to do this, but I've no idea how. I'd ask Marco, but he tends to monkey around with my posts. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if he replied to this, posing as youPet hates .............. when people 'quote' the whole of a long post full of large photos, which has only just been posted, often just to make a short 1 line comment. So I have to scroll through the whole thing again just to get to their brief pearl of wisdom.
For some obscure psychological reason this drives me absolutely batty.
OK, got it off my chest and I'm feeling better now.

As a matter of etiquette, it is considered bad form to change the wording of a quote, or even to correct spelling and errant apostrophes. Just delete anything in the quote you don't want to comment on, including images (which is what prompted this discussion). Sometimes, to draw attention to a particular part of a quoted post, you can highlight the words in question in bold or italic font, or change their colour.
