For some obscure psychological reason this drives me absolutely batty.

OK, got it off my chest and I'm feeling better now.
Hi Jerry, can you put it back on your chest for just a minute, to take me through how to edit quotes? I've noticed others are able to do this, but I've no idea how. I'd ask Marco, but he tends to monkey around with my posts. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if he replied to this, posing as you

Click on 'Reply With Quote', which will copy the quote and allow you to edit it. You can then add your own comments and reply.

As a matter of etiquette, it is considered bad form to change the wording of a quote, or even to correct spelling and errant apostrophes. Just delete anything in the quote you don't want to comment on, including images (which is what prompted this discussion). Sometimes, to draw attention to a particular part of a quoted post, you can highlight the words in question in bold or italic font, or change their colour.

Looks like I've got the hang of editing quotes, not sure about altering the fonts though. I'll know in a second when I post this

    Ooh look, it worked!

Yes, but you deleted the [/QUOTE] to complete the quote.

Otherwise, well done (but no cigar).

Actually, I was just being polite.
The next time it happens the red mist will descend again, I'm sure!

Thanks to Barry for sorting you out on the quote editing and associated etiquette malarkey.

I suggest you now learn a bit more about setting your own avatar pic, and take back control from Marco!

Well, as Barry pointed out. Almost!

Then you'll need to work out the mysteries of including two quotes or more like this.

It's all good fun..........once you get used to it.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
