The theory that war is good for an economy is often repeated but is not really based in fact. Obviously some people make a profit, but overall, as someone (I forget who) once said, it is the same as taking the entire year's output of Ford and General Motors, smashing it up and burying it in a field. TV ads are bad enough but when they're clearly foreign ads dubbed into english that's just taking the piss, they couldn't even be bothered to make a dedicated UK ad!
