I planned to eat it as sugary stuff doesn't seem to burn well. I once tried to light up a sweet cigarette (remember them?) and it smelled disgusting.

Heh-heh... I'm a fan of popping off a wet one in the bath. When the 'bubble' bursts, it seems to accentuate the pong!

Oh yes, they're a bit special. I can almost hear Kylie singing 'Especially For You'...

Sweet cigarettes. They were great. They even came in a sort of mini cigarette packet. They don't let you do that no more.

You can still get those still fruit drinks in the plastic cups, where you push the straw through the top. The offy by me sells them. You'd jam the straw through, take deep draught and then start coughing. God knows what is in them but I'm surprised it is still legal.

Touch screens with ultra-sensitive buttons, like this f****r, I spend about 10 minutes banging the button I want with absolutely no effect then my finger accidentally brushes (or even hovers near) something I didn't even know was a button and I'm immediately looking at an advert for dental implants or hair restoring gel......How do they know anyway?

Crap aren't they? I could have got one of those tablet things but I went for a laptop instead, one with a good keyboard. And I attach a proper mouse to it. Can't arsed using that fiddly thing they give you built-in.

Typing anything more than a few words on those touch screen is a right pain. And it feels wrong.

Happens to me too - I'm looking for the nearest college that does flower arranging courses, and while tapping away at the screen, guess what comes up? 'Sticky Vicky from Blackburn is only 4 miles away and is dying to meet you'. Happens just as Mrs P is looking over my shoulder...

iPad is great. Big enough at 10 inches for typing easily and you can get an external keyboard too.
I use a mouse with my laptops too. The ones on them are bloody useless

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”
