Sometimes opportunities are just too good to pass on...

Yes! I found a pristine Technics SL-1000 MkII with the original SH-10B3 plinth and EPA-100 tonearm.
It also included the original cartridge, which actually sounds as if it hasn't been used much at all; A Coral 777-E with the matchning StepUp T-100

    Thanks Jerry, Oliver and Mika!
Yes, it is lovely isn't it? And i am seriously impressed with the cartridge, which is the original one delivered with the TT 40years ago!!!
If you stumble upon a Coral 777-E or EX i'd snag it immediately! While the AMG delivers resolution, musicality and soundstage, the SL-1000 presents music in a natural and unforced manner which is very addictive.

    Thanks Ivo!,
The Techie was forced to leave due to a move. It has been replaced by another CD-spinner though, an Audio Research CD-3 MkII.

And while i'm at it, i recently drew an updated scheme for my digital bits'n'bobs:

I also felt the need to satisfy my quriosity regarding the quite new ESS Sabre 9038Q2M chip, when used in a cheap and nasty Pi environment. This little thingy was ordered from China:

I am powering it now with a pretty std issue wall wart, the one that came with my Allo USBridge. It is sounding fecking spectacular for it's cost, i kid you not!
Once again the low cost empire strikes back... I have sold off a few of the other streamers i had access to, but today it rules the roost of sub £1000 DACs for me!

Can you remember who the seller was - was it an eBay shop?
