The cat pees in a different spot every morning, maybe she'll start using the same place each time.

I probably shouldn't trash her too much till I've given it a listen. She looks like she'd do a job, but as I'm unlikely to get lucky there, she better sound good.

Well good luck, I've got one of her records and I've tried a couple of times but I've never made it all the way through to the end.

Well I gave Ms. Krall a go, and by track 6 I found myself thinking about trimming my toenails. Not my thing I guess. It is an album of covers, and it just made me want to revisit the originals. Maybe there are better examples than "Wallflower".

Part way through track 4 I thought "Hello, Diana's balls have dropped", turns out she was duetting with Mikey Bubble.

Went to two boot sales today - 'serial booties'!

The first was just to buy; it was freezing cold and I was getting a bit pissed off with it all, but picked up a hard back copy of Eric Clapton's autobiography for 20p, in excellent condition, and a couple of DVDs for 50p each. My partner bought a sackfull of clothes, and suggested we vist another booty; again just to buy.

However it wasn't open when we got there, and were told we would have to wait an hour before they opened. Given that I had no intention of sitting in the car for an hour, my partner suggested we go in to sell (the clothes she had bought), which would allow us immediate entry and (the reason behind her thinking) would allow us first dibs on what other sellers had on offer. Apparently all traders, and semi-pro sellers do this. So whilst my partner was buzzing around picking up stuff, I set up our stall (a picnic table we keep in the back of the car). She returned with inter alia a set of saucepans and a couple of frying pans, which with some of the clothes bought previously, were subsequently sold at a vast profit!

I went around and picked up five CDs (some Beatles, Etta James and Otis Redding) and two boxed sets of 'Red Dwarf' (series I to VIII) all for a tenner.

So all in all not a bad morning's worth.

The only 'boot' type of sale I've done is the Beaulieu Boat Jumble for a few years...

Made a furtune out of stuff we thought was rubbish... one year we made £1,200 for boat stuff we no longer needed..

I've never seen the attraction of car boot sales myself. The only time I've done one as a seller, it pissed down with rain all day and we barely sold enough to cover our costs.

Many years ago, when our first daughter was a baby, we went up to see my parents one weekend. As with most new parents, we were a bit obsessed with our new family member, and various relatives dropped round to see her. I rang up my uncle, who lived about five minutes' drive away, and asked him if he and my aunt would like to see the baby. After a brief pause he said, 'Sorry, we can't make it today. We always go to the car boot sale on a Sunday'.
