Oh, of course... However, payment was direct, by bank transfer, so there will just be eBay fees, which aren't that much. It's still a result

I'm Paul.
Yep you could of been well down on these. Luckily a few who knew what they were biding for. Was the buyer another forum member by any chance ?
Not as far as I know, Paul. He's a chap from Italy
In some ways I'm sad to see the JS units go, as what they did, sonically, I've never heard from any modern transformers.
However, the ST-80SE fits more with my vinyl reproduction methodology of achieving synergy, through using products from the same manufacturer, designed to work together. In my experience, you can't beat it when a tonearm, cartridge and SUT have all been 'born' from the same stable, as it were. In such instances, you can clearly hear the cumulative sonic benefits!
We'll see now whether the Silvercore can raise the bar even further or not. Apparently, the German chap who makes them is a diehard SPU fan, and so knows them inside out, and how to get the most out of them, rather like Keith Aschenbrenner does with the A23 range
Marco.

One of my tape machines has 8 of these in - one for each input and output......we call used to call them REP coils (Repeating Coils) in broadcasting and they were used to convert unbalanced lines into balanced lines and vice versa.......that was before the days of OP Amps.

Well done Marco!
Looks like they have gone to a good home.
Regards
Barry
Indeed, Barry. I think that the chap (Giovanni), who bought them from me, will be delighted with them. The JS units had some enviable sonic qualities, but in the end, the ST-80SE just pipped them!
Next time you're up (it's been a while) you'll be able to hear what an 'all-Ortofon signature' from pick-up cartridge (SPU), through to SUT, sounds like... I think you'll be rather impressed
Marco.
P.S Do you like my new avatar? It's called the 'SP12'

Now would be a good time to look on a popular auction site for another nice pair of Schous exactly like Marco's ;-)

Lol... I didn't know that you had two pairs! Lucky bugger. I'm sure you'll get a very good price for them
