Hi all, been away from hifi for about 6 years, gone from audiophile anorak to PC nerd. Havnt really started listening to music again yet, long story... Bought some old school cdps from ebay and playing with valve output stages. Like the ethos here, I get the feeling I am reading HIFI world for the first time again.

Hi-fi will always reclaim its vanished victims, I was away from it for about four years and I didn't miss it, or at least I thought I didn't, until I heard a decent system again. Amazing how a lost love can be rekindled so easily.

I do have a famillie!Ive never considered listening to music while I am on the pc, probably the hifi snob in me, I didnt even know it was possible to get audiophile sound from it, I shall be investigating further.... blow, thats more time on the pc!
