    Hi

    should i or not. people seem to prefer the a400. but might be worth it.

    I recon the 400x is better. Biwire speaker terminals and you can add a specialist mains cable to which it responds well. Just forget about the phono stage.

    If it's anything like the a400 i wouldn't bother.
    Unless you like the A400 then i would say go for it.

    I do like the A400 - I'm a fan of a lot of the 80s and 90s Jap amps as they have good drive and low distortion which IMO is 99% of what you need in an amp. I wanted the A400X for a system I'm putting together for a mate from stuff I have lying around. Don't need a phono stage, he is too young to have any vinyl.

    However I don't think I offered Dan enough of a drink
