Default Rare vinyl buying site with Youtube video porn.

I discovered these vinyl buyers through their Youtube videos. They are looking for rare prog, folk and jazz collections. Videos on collectable Lp's and examples played on lovely Garrard 301 and Thorens TD124. For Marco's benefit - 12" arms and SPU.

Some expensive collectables including Led Zep I with blue cover. Some of the vinyl is a little too crackly by my standards though.

I watched the first bit of the classical section and he took the record out with his damned fingers...!

Obviously an amateur if he hasn't even learned the basics on how to handle a record yet. Which is surprising given the record players he has...?
In - Tweaked Lenco GL75, Linn Ittok, Ortofon Cadenza Black
Through - Croft Micro 25 RS LS, power R monoblocks, RIAA R. Ortofon ST-80 SE SUT.
Along - Tellurium Q Ultra Black cables
    Out - Harbeth SHL5 Plus XD's

Yes he is leaving a lot of finger marks. Looks like the same guy who runs Audiograil. They do superb Garrard restorations at a price.

I always get the impression that people buying refurbed Garrards at £2000+ are also jazz collectors in Hong Kong or somewhere.

Maybe he's going for the same market after talking to some of his turntable buyers.

There's a 401 and 301 on ebay - see what they go for. Your £2000+ figure is what Loricraft charge these days for restoration. I'm afraid Terry O has lost the plot as far as the ordinary UK enthusiast is concerned. The 501 has gone from £6K to £20K +. I had an interesting conversation with him many years ago at Chesterfield show when I remarked the original price was rather expensive. Incredibly high in 1997. I get the feeling that many companies are just aiming themselves at the very well healed collector these days. Which increasingly means Malaysia, Hong Kong and China.

Realisticaly 2-3K is viable for a mint 401 in a nice slate plinth in terms of performance v modern decks. Some people here spend more on their Techies.
