    i particularly love the pics of vintage train wrecks although i imagine not very nice for their passengers!

    I think you could see that Brian Wilson was exhibiting signs of his later more severely obvious mental problems in his picture ...

    There are several places just like that under the streets.

    I worked for BT in the Kingsway Tunnel, London, during 1963/64. This was a pretty well self sufficient, International Telephone and Telex exchange running beneath the tube trains in London. It was constructed in two tube train tunnels, running together for half a mile. Fresh air was pumped in and washed through massive machines and power was supplied by a gang of diesel generators. Water came from two Artesian wells. Fascinating place.
