Ixos 105 is one of the best digital coax I have tried.
Prices vary a lot, but can be cheap --- https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?LH...105&_sacat=293
I can loan you one if you fancy, Roy - just PM me your full name and address.

I've also got 0.5m pair of good W&M (Dutch) balanced cables you could try if they are long enough.

Thanks very much for the offers Jerry but the Hugo has a BNC type coax socket (bit of a pain) & I’ve got plenty of balanced cables to play with. Cheers anyway.

It all looks nice Roy, but I really do like the Tannoys! Oh, and the Luxman, and.......

The Goldenears (all the way from Baltimore) really hold their own against the Tannoys but, overall, the Tannoys sound better for the majority of what I listen to.

Is this the place we discuss the different sounds of adapters? (-:

This turned up in a box of bits, bolted it in a head shell without expecting much but it’s really quite good
