That's a tuner (FM/DAB/Internet radio) streamer type thing Martin, I've had it some time. I use it for local radio through the day & sometimes Paradise radio via the net.

It’ll stream off any computer on the same network.

    A neat looking set!

    That's the Chord Hugo TT?
Be interesting to hear that - I had a Hugo2 on dem but it wasn't what I was after - but I suspect the TT is rather a different beast.

Interesting mix of gear, Roy! Aside from what others have mentioned, don't underestimate the influence of your Cyrus (transport only or CDP?) It's unfairly underrated by some, IMO. Very capable piece of kit for the money - enjoy!

Yup, I had a Cyrus CD8X CDP and thoroughly enjoyed it! Very musical indeed - iirc my "1 Word Review" for it was 'beautiful'!

Yes it’s a Cyrus CDt into a Chord Hugo TT (with the devilish little chromecast audio lurking). Very pleased with the noise it’s making, a very precise sound. Both units were preowned and I got a very good trade in deal on my m2tech dac from Marc at Fanthorpes.

Slot loading CDt takes a little getting used to but I’ll suffer it for it’s performance.

Yeah, nice digital 'front end', and I'd guess not one many folks have tried. Which digital cable are you using between the transport and DAC. In my experience, that's one of the most sonically influential cables there is in a hi-fi set up.

Just a cheapy at the moment, any recommendations?.

Need to try balanced cables between the dac and amp as well.
