Default spindle upgrade on inverted bearing GYRO SE

I am trying to upgrade my GYRO SE clamp to the Orbe (screw) version.
But I can't seem to be able to remove to old GYRO spindle from its inverted bearing? I need to remove it before I can install the new threaded one!
I have tried many ways but it just won't unscrew...

Am I missing a trick here... I am pretty sure my inverted bearing (recent model) can accept the upgrade?

    Help anyone?

    Many thanks

I need to upgrade my Orbe in the same way at some point as its a very early one which doesn't have the clamp. Anyway I had similar concerns and spoke to Michell earlier in the year and they suggested using mole(?) grips with rubber gloves or similar wrapped around the bearing to prevent damage and provide a better grip.

Let us know how you get on.

As stated before, use some pliers with protection for the metal surface. The spindle top is threaded into the bearing , just un screw.
