I've just set up a Tape! Group and it's now ready to accept members

It's a broad church. Everything from open reel to cassette, 8 track and DAT.

It will be what we make it. It'd be nice to get some pictures of nice kit in there, links to useful resources. And the odd bit of tape-based chat.

Currently listening to: The Best Of Etta James. £5.00 from Virgin Megastore. Her version of I'd Rather Go Blind really did bring a tear to this man's eye. Anyway ...truly magnificent. Sorry it's not on tape though for this posting.

Back to tape - I'm still looking for a Teac 7300-RX. Silly prices in Germany. Might really be the King of R2R machines. Certainly looks that part. So far, all I've managed is the 4 page brochure - and that was $12 plus P&P. Hmm.
