“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".
“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Yeah, but it's the "other ways" I'm interested in mate, hence my last sentence above, as Del would rather not upload anything to YT.

I love Churches for shows, some even have comfy seats these days.
Looked a good night Marco, intimate shows are my thing now and you'd struggle to get me anywhere near an Arena. I think I'd only do that if Led Zeppelin ever did another show, so I'm not holding my breath!
"People will hear what you tell them to hear" - Thomas Edison
Another church, but this time a classical concert (in Wrexham's historic St Giles Church), with various excerpts of music by Strauss (and vocal performances by Welsh Mezzo-Soprano, Erin Rossington, winner of one of the top awards at the Llangollen Eisteddfod 2019):
Nice big organ! Lol...Seriously though, it was great concert in a beautiful venue

Went to see Stereophonics at Sheffield Arena on Friday 28th
They were excellent 1st time i've seen them live and well worth the wait. They were supported by The wind and the wave who worth having a listen to good singer who also played banjo, had the crowd bouncing nicely along.
Great sound from where i was sat with missus bout halfway down 1 side. Walkway out into crowd was good especially when whole band played there with a drumkit that i never noticed being setup .Lighting was great with strings of fairy lights all over giving a great effect. Plenty crowd singing moments although me n guy next to me were singing away to most of them lol.
Would recommend them to anyone who thinking of seeing them 10/10
Next up is Goldfrapp at Manchester Albert Hall on the 25th of this month really looking forward to seeing them for 2nd time.
I’ve travelled back in time to say..this one

A mainly digital setup with a musical amplifier and endearing 1970's speakers. A CD player that hardly ever gets used and a turntable that is good enough to remind my how enjoyable my old vinyl is. Some cables and things.
