I just love the way this lady plays Bach. So natural, so fluid. Spot on!

This is a lovely album of Bach transcriptions for a small chamber ensemble - violin, viola, cello and 1 or 2 pianos.
The first 2 chorale transcriptions, in particular, are heart-tuggingly beautiful and the mighty Passacaglia & Fugue is given a magical performance.

Only just starting to come to terms with Penderecki.

The piano concerto is a powerful and interesting work, and surprisingly beautiful at times.

Heinrich Schlusnus one of Germany's foremost lyric baritones between the wars. An excellent Preiser CD set, the first of three double volumes.
