I've been a fan of the following 2 albums for a while and played them both yesterday as my only substantive musical fodder in a rather busy day ...

Harbach is a superb harpsichord player and searching for more of her performances on Amazon a couple of years ago I came across some of her own compositions.
Really nice - OK, so they aren't Mahler 3 or Bruckner 8, or even Shostakovich 10. But for middle-to-light weight, well crafted music with some nice melodies and always interesting textures they are a very pleasant listen. Excellent sq, too.

Enjoyed the Dunhill symphony, not so keen on the Arnell suite.

Good / interesting in parts, but then he'd go all weird and yukky (technical term ).
Tried his violin sonatas and that was the same,
    Not for me.

Listened to the Combat El Somni songs and then Cantar Del Alma (tracks 17 - 22).
    Cor lummy - absolutely gorgeous
I'm not a lover of much of the song/lieder repertoire by any means, but this is scrumptious!

Nice and invigorating end to the evening.

Talking about Fretwork on another thread started me listening to this again:

Some contemporary stuff, some 17th century stuff. All great playing.

For orchestral Bax newbies, Tintagel is a good place to start. I'm one of 'em - it's difficult music to get into, ime!

Finally gave the Fremaux Organ Symphony a whirl, I don't know whether I like it as much as the Montreal-Dutoit but I like it very well indeed and will return to it.
