Curiouser and curiouser.
Pettersson's 7th is rapidly becoming one of my favourite symphonies.

Bach – Goldberg Variations (for two pianos)
Nina Schumann, Luis Magalhães
A superb, lively and dynamic recording played with verve.
A delight, - contrasting with the, IMO, rather pedestrian and un-involving performance by Tal and Groethuysen:
Barry
Something soothing and not too taxing:
Harp Concertos
Works by Handel, Mozart and Wagenseil, played by Nicanor Zabaleta.
Barry
That's fine (actually I ordered the Tal and Grethuysen version based on your mention). But I did say "in my opinion", and as Jerry (jokingly) said: "One can't have too many versions of the Goldberg Variations.
I would love to know if the Lebeque sisters ever recorded the Goldberg Variations for two pianos.
Barry

It's good to see RVW being taken increasingly seriously outside this sceptered isle.
Excellent recording of some rarely heard works. They are wonderful, though.
