    Yep, a really good composer Pickard - not too avant-garde but healthily 'new' and interesting. I can also recommend the 5th Symphony plus interesting fillers, also on BIS

    I've had these 2 CDs of his chamber music for many years, but haven't investigated his symphonic work.
    I shall give it a go.
