Certainly gripping performances but at times I felt he was rushing for the sake of it. For everyday listening I rather like Pinnock.

The later Pinnock Brandenburgs on Avie have startlingly good sound quality. A bit livelier and more interesting imo than his earlier Archiv recordings, too.

Britten good, Berg a bit of a challenge.

Purcell and Britten on the same album.
    But it works remarkably well.
    Very enjoyable.
