No wonder you are only getting mono reproduction: pins 1 (left) and 3 (right) are connected together (twice, first by the yellow wire and second by the clear wire). You need to cut the yellow and clear wires at each end, leaving you with:
Pin 1 blue wire
Pin 2 ground (shielding)
Pin 3 red wire
Don't connect anything to pin 4.
I can thoroughly recommend Flashback sales for their DIN leads; they use good quality metal-shrouded plugs and good quality twin ('figure of eight' or 'shotgun') coaxial cable. I have used a few of their cables, where i have been too lazy to make my own.
If you have difficulty obtaining a replacement cable, let me know. I probably have a Quad cable lying around somewhere you can have.

now its back to being stereo again i will need a new din to din i will keep you in mind barry thanks
