No that was the Nick's Nagra, Jerry, which I agree was utterly phenomenal. It's Nick's new Technics machine I'm referring to. Hopefully, though, he will bring BOTH!
Marco.

I'm gone.
Firstly, yes it's the distance/location thing and i don't have the money to go.
Secondly, aos, pfm, ww, will be talking nonstop for the next few months about it and even though it will be great! its not so great reading about it every where when your not involved in it or going to it.
The only thing of interest to me is to see some photos from it.
MM
No worries, dude. Best though to wish everyone that can go a good time!
Marco.

I'm Richard.
I wish I could take a room just as an enthusiast, but it would be impossible, so I will be suitably jealous.
Whittlebury (trade show) will struggle even doing a show this year, where as Scalford (user show) will be full of users systems and listeners.
I know of one Hi-End Hi-Fi retailer who is now buying up classic old and not so old hi-fi gear and sticking it in storage. Refurb, tweak and re-sell could well become a business model in the future. Small companies like Dominic Harper setting up for tweaking and refurbing, in his case old turntables arms and cartridges - the new industry is on the way.
