I might get the test mic out and cross compare the Cardas with Furutech I/C I have with these. Something is measurably going on here. Good experiment. Same Furutech cable, different connectors.

Could try this dude. My seller got an ebay ban for some reason. These are branded and cost about eight pounds more than I paid if you include P&P.

Obviously can't guarantee you will like the results you get in your system, but they work in mine, for me The quality is lovely for the cash.

    Second system update.

I've had these little Klegg 103 Symphony speakers for a few months now and I have been very impressed.
Surprisingly large scale, neutral, dynamic, detailed, nicely focused sound.
With the assistance of a Jamo Sub 200 subwoofer to add a bit of lowest end authority - they have very good bass without this, but the sub just adds that soupcon of extra whoomph.

I'm particularly curious about the tweeter used, I don't recall seeing it before and it really is a great sounding unit.

The Kleggies started out on low IKEA stands, to keep them out of the way visually.

... an interesting change from the 5'6" high Maggies!
Sonically very different also, as might be expected. I enjoy the Maggies enormously, but it's great to be speaker-swapping again after 6 years of the MBLs in my main system!

But after a while I felt that the low-down positioning was holding them back, and a quick trial on some dining room chairs confirmed that.

Not wanting to spend vast sums, I thought I'd try some ordinary stools to raise them up a bit. Once again from IKEA!
They looked ridiculous standing upright but on their sides they have an alien-like insectoid appeal. The wife likes them a lot like this and thinks they are about to start walking across the room ...

Not everyone's cup of tea, I'd wager - but they sound really good now!

These look interesting Jerry , love the finish . Wonder what they'll sound like when used with a proper stand . Appear to be unavailable through the usual outlets though .

    Yep, no longer available.

I think Klegg were mainly into cheaper AV speaker - you know, the eggs on sticks approach.

    let's see if I can find a pic ... ah yes ...

They then decided to do a 'proper' speaker and came out with the ones I have.
Seriously good, but I suspect not what the punters were expecting from them so they soon died out!

yes, I'm quite tempted to try a proper stand - I had a wanted ad in the classifieds for white stands!
