Default CDP/DAC with low bass lift

    Hi All

I am looking for a CDP or DAC that has a lift in the low bass frequencies to replace my defunct Sony CDP 791E. Can anyone suggest something that can be had cheap (<£50) on the 'bay that has this raised bass profile? Forget overall SQ or build quality I just need something with the deliberate bass lift

    Thanks

If you can find a used TC-7510 for the budget you have in mind I might be able to do a bass lift mod for you. Mind you, the postage cost would then be far too high if factored into the total cost .

    Thanks Stan

I think a realistic price for a used 791 is £50 - I wonder if Dave would accept an offer?

But by the time you add postage to me and back to you, the total would be a lot more.
What about selling the Linn in order to release some funds ?

I've got the money I'm just a skinflint

Sell my trusty LK100? That would leave me with a Beheringer A500 for a power amp and my Croft no likee the A500.

I used to use my LK100 as a foot warmer in the winter. Sold it for peanuts to a customer who came to pick up a DAC and thought I had lost my marbles when he noticed the LK100 on the floor... Can't remember who it was again, but I am sure he is/was a member on the wam.
