    Default Caiman + Gator + Quad 520f

I have just got my hands on a Quad 520f Amp ( the pro version of the current dumping 606, 707, 909). Had it refurbised by Dada Electronics.

Driven by the Gatorised Caiman it is quite amazing.

I had one of these sitting in a box for years until I recently sold it to a forum member. Just before we did the deal I spent an evening with it to be sure that it was still functioning well & I was staggered that it sounded as good as it did - far, far better than I had remembered.

Yes, I was the forum member who bought Chris's 520f amp. And indeed I can confirm that it is indeed a fine performer: it has incredible 'authority' , grip and control on any music signal passing through it, yet at the same time is also 'musical. Not what one might normally expect for a professional amplifier.

Mine is used in my 2nd system, usually as part of an AV system, fed by a Mark Levinson ML10A pre-amp and emptied into B&W DM2a speakers.
