    Default Some new kit chez-Jerry

Here we have a tasty piece of hi-end Japanese hi-tech-ery ...

    An Esoteric AZ-1 DAC / class-D amp.
You want warm & cuddly? - then you need to look elswhere!
Clear, lucid and hugely enjoyble - I just love class D switching amps. I've never heard a bad one.

Digital and analog inputs - so just feed your digital stream staright in.

And my latest pride & joy ... a pair of Audio Physic Virgo II speakers. A real toughie to set up in my room - very finicky about placement - but I've pretty much got there now & these are keepers for the nonce. My old speakers are sold already!

The AP by-line is "No loss of fine detail" - damn right there! I must confess that I am now curious about larger AP speakers - these don't have the low-end welly of the 10 inchers in my old SD1s ....

I concur fully Jerry, awesome thing is class D. Have you heard the Nuforce range at all? Staggeringly good and amazingly transparent, miniscule size too. After I've moved house I think I'll treat myself to a pair of the Reference 9 V2SEs

    Hi Rob

Yup, I owned the original NuForce Ref 8 monoblocks. Very musical indeed.
