Ok i'm convinced i'm ordering one tomorrow...

One thing though - for maximum effect, one should touch the earthed metal deck with one's left hand whilst 'wiping' the disc with the record brush held in one's right (or vice versa, if left handed). Otherwise you will simply make matters worse by 'charging up' the vinyl record.

always wondered why every brush I've used seems to do the absolute opposite of what's hoped for ...

having said that, my last foray into anti-stat brushes was the 'acoustat' (or some such) one that comes with a cable that you attach to an earthing point - and it still charged the records rather than otherwise ...

I think the gods are trying to tell me something ...

Barry's advice is spot on, so definitely do that, but the Blue Horizon brush is the first 'basic' record cleaning brush I've used which doesn't charge records with static, whether you touch a metal part of the T/T with one hand or not, which none of the other brushes I've used, Goldrings or Deccas, or anything else did (apart from the Furutech SK2, which is designed for that purpose).

Therefore, for me, *that alone* makes Blue Horizon's £19.95 price worth every penny!
