    Default file conversion

Does anyone have any advice on how to convert .m2ts files to AVCHD files ?
Also, are there any free converters that do the job properly, and without causing major heartache or headaches ?

The only video converter I have ever had any joy with is handbrake ...
I'm no expert but it would be worth a look

I recently bought a Panasonic Viera TV, and amongst things it will do is play video from SD cards or USB sticks.

I have a file in m2ts. format, and I need to convert it to another format for the tv to be able to read it.
So it's start of the learning curve time for me

your tv should be able to play some avi formats so try WinAvi and see how you get on.

    Chris,
my LG tv is similar in what it does and I tried this to get m2ts files to play.
rename the movie file....ts instead of m2ts.

    ie. filename.m2ts becomes filename.ts
This works with my LG plasma.

    alternatively, try this next:

    didn't work? Try this.

    hope this helps,

    shame...
    ah well.

one of these options SHOULD work though if you ever come across another m2ts file.
