Thanks Marco - we're all good thanks, and trust you & yours are too.

Not really been frequenting much in the way of hifi fora - I suppose mainly because my little rig's doing the job fine. Perhaps a new cartridge will be needed in the next 12 months or so but that's about it.

Work-wise (since semi-retiring) I've been mostly teaching Clarinet and Piano at home, also doing some conducting. Got asked to go on the Board of Examiners for ABRSM but it would mean a lot of time away from home so that was a no-no. As a total change I got myself a little part-time job working for Waitrose in Newark. No stress, not in charge of anyone, no appraisals to write - and Mrs Gromit enjoys the John Lewis discount.

I shall certainly re-frequent the forum, and will look forward to reading up on the comings and goings.
    Richard.

It's not such a bad old tool

With the (horrific!) cost of Linn's own upgrades, I've no plans to take things further. As it stands, I feel a balance has been struck, and it's such a lovely thing to own and play records on that I've no desire to to move on. I also have a photography (Leica) addiction to feed too - something has to give

    M-P Typ 240.

Finally took the plunge about 6 months ago - my dad once owned an M3 back in the 60's so felt it only right to have an 'M' of my own. They are lovely things, no doubt there.

Thanks Brian - been mostly frequenting the photographic sections on hifi forums (anything for a quiet life!) but starting to dip my toe back into hifi-related stuff again.

    Hope you're keeping well.
