    Any of you guys also listened to the MOV KT88? The factory used to be based in Hammersmith and just a stone's throw from Hammersmith Palais. In my opinion they were the best sounding of all the KT88's I ever heard.

    Once again, Ali is being intuitive. Serriously, Stanley, could you make it to Owston 8/9th November? You'd be highly regarded and you should expect to be knackered at the end of any day from any information output you offer. That is, after all (marketing wirh demonstration), what it's all about. I know because I do it. It would do you alot of marketing good if you could be there. Please come along.

    marconi osram... as far as i can see its the same valve as the gec label...

    hi fi world did a two pager on our first meet at eggborough a few years ago

    we had Pieter from tribute transformers to our 2nd meet

    since then the kit has all improved...

    ...as most of us have one of your dacs...
    you would be suprised how good they can sound through a couple of watts of SE
    well.. i think so...

    Thanks for that, Steve. I'm slowly but surely becoming a valve 'anorak' so the info is useful

    I know that Osram valves are highly desirable so I'm sure their KT88s were excellent. Anthony tells me that their B65 6SN7-type (shown below) is superb, but very rare now and ridiculously priced.
