short version: I always loved music but its just these 6 last years that I have regained interest and possibilities to get some of that stereo gear I always wanted back in the 7oties when I couldn't afford it:
My primary Set up is a Garrard 301 Gray Greaser with a SME 3012 and Denon DL103 - Home made step up transformers cannibalised from two Luxman C120 - For Pre amp I now use a Luxman C-12 as my Luxman L58A is at the repair shop. For FM I use the Luxman T50A. For Power amps I have two EAR 549 and att he moment I have 12 Tannoy DCs in large 450 litres Duelund concrete horns. Very soon I will get a set of Lockwood Major boxes and will try them wit a Pair of Tannoy Monitor Golds 15" that have been lying around waiting for the right Box.
My secondary set up is the full range of Revox gear i bought as the first thing 6 years ago when i regained my interest in HiFI as it was one of the things I remembered from my youth as pretty cool. Its consist of Two Reel t. Reel B77, One B710 MKII, One B740 poweramp, On B750 MK II Intergreted amp used as Pre, One Tuner B760, one record player B790, one CD player B225 (CDs was unfortunately was not invented when the 700 series was produced) One Studer A 710 and a Set of BX 4100 Speakers (the ugly ones with 8 bass speakers in each box) and a Tascam CD recorder. I use this set up mostly when I digitalize analogue material.
My Mono set up is a LeaK Varislope III with a TL 25 plus power tube amp and a Lenco l70 with a Denon DL 102 mono pick up - and an old Philpis corner speaker cabinet with a Pioneer full range unit (mono with a good corner speaker is very underrated IMHO)
At my computer I use a USB dac, I Pioneer A-88X power amp and a Thorens TD 124 with ortofon arm and SPU gold pickup - Speakers on each side of my computer screen are Rogers LS3/5A 15 OHMS
I have different CD players and DACs but I mostly listen to LPs
I have a lot of other vintage gear - most of it at the house from were I run my office - and every time I see a chance I equip yet another room in the house with a set up.
The only (edit: new) gear - apart from Pick Ups - I have bought the last 6 years was a Cyrus CD s CD player that I sold as soon as I could get away with it (a lousy computer cd mechanism in an expensive box - IMHO)
regards
