Marco, how could you have forgotten? Could it be that you have left her locked up behind that 'little white door' for too long?

I wouldn't be surprised if she and The Gimp hadn't run off together!

Lyrics are the ramblings of man, sometimes inspired by The Creator, most often, not.
But music (melodies, harmonies, rhythms), that's God stuff.
    Always was. Always will be.

One of the biggest lies ever told was that only certain kinds of people should listen to certain kinds of music.

Probably Baz, but l buy 95% secondhand vinyl- and believe me some of it is filthy, l am convinced cleaning records in this manner( and the purchase of an Anchromat oddly enough) helped with a massive reduction of clicks, pops and static, so my discs are the quietest l have had in my room, and previously l have had some high end vinyl components.

To answer the rest of your question, I always clean any records I buy, whatever state they're in. I'm still working my way through the backlog of my collection though, even after many years of owning a machine. I don't think I've ever cleaned any of my discs more than twice so far.
    I've never had static problems.
