    Default Cable length

I am thinking of wall mounting my new turntable I have two main issues the first is would a 3m rca cable be ok in terms of length of cable run. The second is can you recommend wall shelf; must be 600mm in width I can only find shelves that cost silly money
Loves anything from Pain of Salvation to Jeff Buckley to Django to Sarasate to Surinder Sandhu to Shawn Lane to Nick Drake to Rush to Beth Hart to Kate Bush to Rodrigo Y Gabriela to The Hellecasters to Dark Sanctury to Ben Harper to Karicus to Dream Theater to Zero Hour to Al DiMeola to Larry Carlton to Derek Trucks to Govt Mule to?

Humour: One of the few things worth taking seriously

If you could use a table, the "Lack" types from Ikea are cheap and I know a few people that use them and are quite happy.

You may also want to look at turntable wall shelves from Decent Audio. They're very good, look nice, and well priced compared to other audiophile-branded support furniture.

    Hi John,

Here's a few suggestions for shelves:

    http://www.futureglass.com/contempor...s&section=Home

    Or:

    http://www.hifigear.co.uk/site/scrip...product_id=882

    Or:

    http://www.hifi4less.com/product.php/536/0

    Or:

    http://www.needles-and-spins.co.uk/p..._turntable.cfm

There's loads of stuff out there.

As for cables, keep them as short as possible the signal levels here are tiny. About as low as you're going to get in a HiFi system.

    Cheers....

    Hi John,

They're available from hifisound in Stockton-on-Tees and called 'One Decent Wallshelf'. They have two main websites:

    www.turntableworld.co.uk

    www.hifisound.co.uk

Or phone 0845 6019390. Ask for Simon and tell him you know me.

The shelves are acrylic, very effective, and look the business!

    John,

If you do choose this option, let me know first. I have a couple of '10% off' vouchers to use at HiFi Sound!
