Default DTB's World Designs WD88VA for sale.

My lovely self-built WD88VA Integrated (std) is not getting the use it deserves as I've gone off on a tangent and am currently playing in DIY valve-amp-land.

It was this amp got me deeply into DIY Amp and Speaker building. It needs re-homing and loving more than it's getting from me at present.

I chronicled the build of it here... http://www.wduk.worldomain.net/forum...ead.php?t=2092 so you can see exactly what you're getting. It's in VGC naturally.

It's totally standard (not even shunt pot-mod) apart from the option to toggle the input selector board supply via internal or external power supply (included BTW). What this simple mod does is to allow the 'Tape-out' socket to feed an external headphone amp (or similar) without the amp being on. VERY handy if you don't want to heat up the room/waste power/put idle hours on the valves during extended bouts of headphone listening.

It comes complete with 4 Svetlana KT88's, 2 NOS JAN 5687's and a JJ ECC83. All Valve boxes and packaging are included as is the full build notes and user guide.

It's a stunning PP amp that at present cost £949 in kit form from the good folk at WD or already built in this condition £1199.

I would like OIRO £650-ish please (or more if you like!!!) to fund my further adventures into Valve Based DIY-land.

I REALLY don't want to post this, its VERY heavy. I'm willing to demo it at home or even possibly deliver it if needs be at cost by negotiation.

Any questions? Feel free to PM.

    Hi Dave,

    Welcome to the forum!

Nice to see you here - I'm sure you'll recognise some familiar names

That's a very nice amp you have. I heard Mike (Shian7's) one at my place on Friday (although his had the shunt mod) and was impressed by it.

I think you should have no problems selling it and getting the price you're after.

    Good luck!

    ATB,
    Marco.

    Thanks Marco,

Yes, it's taken me a while but I finally joined up.

The amp is still available if anyone's feeling flush, it's a cracker but I'd like more pennies to play with some DIY bits and bobs so summats gotta give... hence the WD88VA being up fer grabs.

    Cheers for the welcome Marco,

    All the best
