Regardless of the model of cans used, I think the experienced output depends on many other variables in the chain (e.g. music format, psu, source, dac, Capella version, listeners’ preference) so I...

Hi Jacob, welcome to AoS.
Funny, I have never heard of Le Guess Who festival despite having lived in Utrecht close to 500 meters from the Neude square for 10 years when I was a student. I have...
Why is the clock mod only for burned in units Stan?
And rxjr, maybe it is possible for Stan to burn in a new unit for you so he can send you an upgraded SEG right at once. As a bonus to the world...
Is the Dorado designed to be left powered on or does it prolong its lifespan when its turned off after each listening session?
Ok thanks., I thought you meant that the Bm MKII should always be powered with 12V.
I will hook it up @15V later today. Am breaking in the BMII-20 firmware upgrade right now.
Or the Ankaka, dependent on what results in the better sound: the BotW/sBooster @ 15V with my Capella MK1 or the Ankaka @ 12V with my Capella MK1.
I am confused here. The Bushmaster MKII requires 11,5V to 15V input your website and the device itself states. Then why would I set the Dorado at 12V when powering my Bushmaster MKII?
Just ordered a Bushmaster Mk II firmware upgrade together with a Dorado psu.
I hope to find a reference guide to replace the firmware thing soon.
Nice job Stan. I read all the raving reviews here on AOS and will consider upgrading my BM II with these two gems.
I will let you know.
Stan's own S-Booster (Stanbooster)? 😄
Because Spotify dropped their Squeezebox support, I purchased a Bluesound Node 2 as a replacement for my SB Touch (well, in fact both SBT and the Node 2 are connected to my Bushmaster II). I think...
I love it that the crappy weather days have returned. :)
After months of hot, sweaty nights that forced me to spend my leasure time outdoors on my terrace, I can finally enjoy my weekend nights...
Welcome to AoS Martin.
That will teach him!
What's your opinion?
I installed the upgrade just 5 minutes ago and the first thing I notice when listening through my beyerdynamics DT990 pro's are more pronounced vocals and a punchier bass on Radio Paradise HQ stream....
So I understand that this upgrade is only significantly noticable with hi-res files?
My BMII is connected to a Capella so my headphones already sound superb in my taste, but if little differences...
Sale is void. Reason: no images were shown. Sorry.
I don't know him nor his books but I read good things about his work, so I ordered a copy of Good Omens for practising English and for fun of course. Too young to die though, whatever your talents...
I have been listening to through my Capella for about 20 hours now and find them very transparent indeed. A/B switch-testing between the Capella and the BM II confirms this.
Initially I thought...
I have my Capella up and running for 5 minutes now and my first impressions are that my beyerdynamics DT990 Pro (250 ohm) sounds the very same as it does when plugged directly into my BM2, only a...
Thanks, my psu is the same as the Mark Grants so that should work.
So I guess it's a matter of personal taste which power source suits best.
Is using a single battery for the 2 devices only convenient or is the Capella (like the BM) optimised for battery power as well?
If it's not optimised, I can re-use my BotW 15V linear psu that is...
I bought the same sub 10 years ago and it is still doing an excellent job. Very musical indeed and don't let its size fool you. Great for use in smaller and mid-sized rooms.
Just as long as you do the bling bling AFTER you launched your headamp, Stan. I think there is a entire new market waiting for your revolutionary product. Well, at least I am.
