The screw is necessary to keep the headshell socket in place, that much is obvious.
It's the whole idea of a friction fit headshell socket that can be rotated to adjust azimuth that I have an...

I think he means it's incompatible with the fixed headshell version (II Improved) and not the S2 Improved which has a removable headshell.
I think he means that it's not compatible with the II Improved. The R versions have the fixing screw in a different location.
It definitely fits the S2 Improved as it still has the stupid azimuth adjustment slot.
The screw does not fix the connector in the armtube, it only prevents it from being pulled out.
These collars are now 50+ years old, who knows what happened it to it during this time.
If it...
I don't think so, but adapters are like a couple of quids each.
Koss KSC75. I bought mine for 15 euro, the sound is surprisingly good even next to my "big boy" headphones (HiFiMan planars and Beyerdynamic DT880 600Ohm). With 101dB/1mW sensitivity and a slight...
https://www.dacapoaudio.com/ is the only authorised distributor in Europe.
They are in Denmark but they offer "duties paid" delivery to the UK, at least for items under £150 if I remember...
Shouldn't this title be reserved for the Fisher-Lincoln Model 70 changer? :)
Sorry to hear about your health issues, I hope you get well soon.
The Aiwa is an excellent little system, a friend of mine had one some time ago - the preamp was the weak link if I remember...
Fantastic system :youtheman:
When I still lived in Russia, one of my mates had speakers made by this factory. One day he decided to "upgrade" them (replace wiring, upgrade crossovers, that kind of thing) and asked me to help...

Yep, definitely Soviet-made as they have Soviet OTK ("quality control") stamps.
Literally the same thing in a different plastic shroud... The old M75-6S (with the metal clip mount) is the best M75 to have because it accepts both M75 and M91 styli. The part that goes inside the...
The humble M75 is my favourite Shure cartridge. I sold both my M95 and my V15-III but kept the M75.
Had a proper armboard made for the Denon, also adjusted the arm's height and the position of the armlift - not a very easy job, the Mission is a very fiddly design. Oh, I also replaced the output...
Very nice, the TX-9100 is definitely one of the best tuners ever made.
The Sony gear is very tasty: TA-F6B with its matching tuner and cassette deck.
I found on their website that the latest version of 1st-gen Antistat has removable brushes: https://www.knosti.de/shop/en/vinyl/95/disco-antistat-replacement-brushes-gen.-i-set-of-2-goat-hair-brushes...
I have always loved horse chestnuts.
I just had a look at mine - I don't think the brushes are removable.
You don't even need to remove anything, there was an armless version (although Denon's servo arms are very good, certainly better than any "classic" SME ;))
This is true, if you change the AC frequency, you need to replace the stock strobe with something like this: https://keystrobe.co.uk/product-category/turntable-upgrade-kits/
That's an interesting question, isn't it? At the moment I have about €3000 in my Technics setup, recovering this sum (at least partially) would be quite agreeable.
