The fact that you're seeing HDR logo beside the selection would imply that your kit is HDR compatible, it's a case of either HDR or DV...
There's definitely some HDR content on Netflix, that's made available if you have the top account (4 screens/users?), myself and a couple of mates share an account.
If ones hardware is HDR...
Hi Marco, did you ever get round to the 'write-up'?
Hi Marco, which cable or cables did you end up using instead? :eyebrows:
At last looks like sky are to bite the HDR bullet, no announcement as to which format...
...
Cheers for uploading the photos Grant...
Unfortunately I still get the 'upload failed' msg after 100%...
Created album, tried to upload, takes me to the same old 'attachment' page as before, with 3 orphan photos I can't see to delete...I'll leave it...
Easy tiger...!!! ;)
I've previously used the attachment capability...how do I create an album etc.?
Hi Grant, I'm trying to upload some pictures, I've cleared out my attachments but still can't upload, any suggestions?
If you have Netflix, Black Mirror is worth a watch, excellent in HDR...
The monoprice cable can handle HDR!...it's only being challenged by the my UB900 upsampling 24hz content to 12bit 4:4:4, whereas it can handle the 4:2:2 being passed through at 60hz
FYI 24p/hz is...
I have some interesting screen shots detailing the disc and HDMI output formats, but can't seem to upload any images, just get an error at the end of 'file upload'
Basically, the 24p option is...
I don't think I was far off the mark, but it seems to be more different marketing terms for the same thing, 4:4:4 12 bit etc. so pulled it to correct it...
With regard to 24p it depends on the...
Yes, in *your* set up, Will. The same in any other (non-Panasonic) one is likely to be rather different, so don't automatically blame the cable! ;)
Marco.
I think 'deep colour' is a panasonic term, the term seems to be 'Enhanced Vision' for Sony...
Again my issue was with playing at 24p, do you have a 24p blu-ray?
What's confusing me Grant is that using the monoprice I can play blu-rays at 4:4:4 (12 bit deep colour) /60/HDR, with 24fps set to off...when I activate 24p auto it doesn't work (the disk in question...
As stated above both are HDR compatible...I've a feeling it's to do with the generated bandwidth between the UB900 and the TV, they're also both 12bit deep colour compatible, I'd suggest on blu-ray...
Hi Marco,
I decided to get to the bottom of this, I initially restricted my tests to the sky Q box, as you have one working in 10bit 4K with this cable...
I set the Sky Q box down to 1080p,...
...I'll try to watch 4k netflix via the UB90 at some point...
So I presume your sky Q is working at 10bit output with the cable?
OK cables have eventually arrived and I've just tested them out...(look to be geniune)
Kit used;
Panasonic TX-55CX802 (TV), Sky Q Box, Panasonic BDUB900 (Ultra Blu-Ray)
Currently using the...
Hi Bill, are you able to stream 'local files' with your CCA, and if so how...?
...how do you play your 'local files' (NAS, HD etc) with the CCA?
Well they've had a scenic tour of Kentucky and Ohio already...fingers crossed indeed! ;)
I went with the ebay option as I couldn't find the 6' ones Gaz posted in his original column elsewhere,...
