Could you P.M me if you want it with your details asap. I was going to put it on Ebay this...

Well, I haven't changed back to coaxial. Done a bit of tweaking with the settings on my SB Touch and I like the quality which in most ways is better than before. I would still like a bit more top end...
After a lot of faffing and help from my son, I got the firmware update installed. My SBT found the new USB app and I was able to listen on USB for the first time.
Of course, this was a bad decision....
Thanks Andrew,
I should have said, I have had the Triode app installed for years and its worked fine with other dacs I have used. Anyway, I have sent off for a passive USB extender to see if that...
Thanks Andrew,
You are right about my SBT being an old one, It was bought when they first came out. I have used digital with other dacs but had forgotten about the need for a passive USB extender. I...
Thanks Grant,
Yea, that's what I thought. I will certainly have a go installing the update.
Whooo this is exciting.
Does the firmware upgrade only apply when connected via USB? I use SPDIF. I briefly tried USB but couldn't get it to work, I don't think the Aries likes my squeezebox touch.

Saw Van Morrison on Monday night at Liverpool Philharmonic. He was his usual miserable self not even saying hello but he sang for a full hour and a half before leaving the group still playing for...
Sadly, IPL Acoustics are no longer trading as Ivan has retired. I still have mine and think they are a fine pair of speakers.
Ali, the finish on your speakers looks superb. I suppose Colin removed...
Sorry to hear you have problems Rob. I don't with my system. I suggest you contact the developer for advice, I have had a couple of chats with him.
I have a 7.1 AV system and a hi-fi with two speakers in the living room without any complaints. I just made sure they were light coloured wood like the rest of the furniture. I think she likes...
Well, if you decide to install it,please add a few comments. Everyone has a different experience when they tweak their system.
Sadly, nude piano playing is in the past for me as the wife accused me...
Hi Charles,
The free version is just a taster. Pro makes a substantial change to the soundstage so that it becomes more immersive. Really everything improves with percussion instruments more...
So I have had Fidelizer Pro installed for a couple of days and I am impressed. Forget all those audiophile fuses and cable lifters. A real, significant improvement for not very much.
I tried the basic free version of Fidelizer and it does seem to provide SQ improvements so I was wondering if there was a significant difference with the Pro version?
Is that a photo of your house Gaz? It looks very Arts & Craft.
Haha,
Knowing you Rob, I bet you are thinking about a kit one?
It does appear to be one area where advances have been made. I have gone for a Denafrips, lots of positive reviews. Had a sabre dac...
My birthday is on the 16th March, close to yours. A (relatively) expensive DAC for me. Hope you got more than the usual socks Rob.
Many happy returns from the old codgers club.

As an IPL speaker owner, I would just like to say how good they are. The build standard looks superb.
The nearest comparison IMHO would be PMC speakers, just have a look at how much their larger...
Thanks thats very helpful,
I will have a look at organic manure locally. Its only one tree so dont neat a huge amount. I have loads of bark from the willow spread over my borders. Could I mix some...
I had a massive willow taken down last October. It was a relief as it was leaning on the back fence and shading the garden. Got a flowering crab ordered to replace it. Any planting advice-size of...
