The thing about Beyerdynamic is that almost everything IS replaceable Including the earpads. Outfits such as
Custom Cans do detachable cable modifications... Might take you over your £200 threshold...

FWIW
I swapped MI iPod Classic for a FiiO x5 (2nd Gen)... Knocks the iPod for a 6....plays flac files, has a dedicated line out and uses a jog wheel just like the iPod
