I’ve always thought that Merc’s engine’s & gearboxes are excellent but questionable elsewhere recently. Old Merc’s like my W124 were pretty good all round...

Just had a look at the Aquila, looks lovely. It’s very similar to the Honda Rebel 500. Does Mrs P have any problems with the weight @ 220kg? The Rebel is a little bit lighter @ 190kg

Oops yes Dave it’s loose and slipping. The drive belt is new so it’s not that. If you watch the motor pulley it’s just not constant. I’ve read that some people fix it by gluing the pulley to the...

Thanks for your message Dave. We’ve purchased a new pulley and it’s fine. The drive pulley seems to be running off and on though, hope that makes sense….. I’m new to turntables :eek:
